Peanuts Nutrition Facts
- dry-roasted, without salt -
From Wikipedia: "The peanut, or groundnut (Arachis
hypogaea), is a species in the legume or "bean" family (Fabaceae). The
cultivated peanut was probably first domesticated in the valleys of
Peru.
Peanuts are rich in nutrients, providing over 30 essential nutrients and
phytonutrients. Peanuts are a good source of niacin, folate, fiber,
magnesium, vitamin E, manganese and phosphorus. They also are naturally
free of trans-fats and sodium, and contain about 25% protein (a higher
proportion than in any true nut) New research shows peanuts rival the
antioxidant content of many fruits."

USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference, Release 23 (2010)
Nutrition Note: All values are for 100 grams (3.52
ounces) and for dry roasted nuts. The best nutritional value however is
always obtained from fresh raw nuts, so best try to get fresh nuts. The
longer you store or cook, dry or roast your products the more
nutritional value is lost, so if you need to cook do it short and fast
and always use fresh products. Also If you have special
needs or conditions make sure you consult with your doctor or
nutritionist.
