And yep
im a smoker :) I did quit smoking for about 4 years and then unfortunately
started smoking again and think its about time for giving up smoking for
good now. So was looking around the web for help and resources on how to
best quit smoking and some tips on how to make stop smoking a bit more
bearable and so I thought I will compile some tips and tricks as well as
some resource sites on this topic that can help you as well whenever you
are ready to quit smoking also!

Help to quit smoking
Avoid mosquito-borne illnesses
The best way to prevent mosquito-borne illnesses is to
reduce the number of mosquitoes around your home and neighborhood and to
take personal precautions to avoid mosquito bites. How to do that? Most
important is to eliminate all recipients that contain standing water
around your garden, house and neighborhood. Look around if you find
anything that contains water like cans, old tires, flower pot bottoms etc
and eliminate them or drain them so they dont provide the mosquitoes with
a new breeding ground.
The DOH (Department of Health) advises the public to
remain diligent in their protecting themselves from mosquito bites by
following the “5 D’s,” which include:

Dawn – Avoid being outdoors
when mosquitoes are seeking blood. For many species, this is during the
dusk and dawn hours.

ress –
Wear clothing that covers most of your skin.

EET – When
the potential exists for exposure to mosquitoes, repellents containing
DEET (N,N-diethyl-meta-toluamide, or N,N-diethyl-3-methylbenzamide)are
recommended. Picaridin and oil of lemon eucalyptus are other repellent
options.

rainage –
Check around your home to rid the area of standing water, which is where
mosquitoes can lay their eggs.
Cinnamon

Cinnamon is native to Sri Lanka. Cinnamon (Cinnamomum
zeylanicum, synonym C. verum) is a small evergreen tree 10-15 m tall,
belonging to the family Lauraceae, and a spice obtained from the inner
bark of this species. Cinnamon is known to significantly reduces blood
sugar in diabetics, and improves cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol and
triglyceride levels.
Our Tip: Hot milk with cinnamon is good for your
nerves.
Ginger

Ginger root is used extensively as a spice in many if
not most cuisines of the world. Though called a root, it is actually the
rhizome of the monocotyledonous perennial plant Zingiber officinale. The
active constituent of ginger is zingerone.
Our Tip: Gingertea does help with a common cold,
so just add boiling water over fresh ginger , its also known to help with
travel sickness and alleviate a nervous stomach.
